15th Biennial Scientific Conference on the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem

Student Scholarships

A limited number of student scholarships will be available for conference participants presenting either a paper or poster. The scholarships will assist with registration and housing. If you are a presenting student (either graduate or undergraduate) and would like to be considered for a scholarship, please indicate your interest when you submit an abstract. You will receive an email with scholarship application information if you are selected as a presenter. Only presenters are eligible for student scholarships, not co-authors. The Conference Committee will select scholarships based on the quality of the abstract. Visit SUBMIT AN ABSTRACT for details.

Diversity Student Scholarships

Diversity in the sciences is an important component to ensure that all voices and perspectives are represented. This year’s conference will offer two Diversity Student Scholarships for participating (i.e. giving a poster or presentation) or non-participating students who are interested in attending the conference. These scholarships will assist with registration and lodging expenses.  To qualify for a Diversity Scholarship a student must:

  • Be a part of a diverse community (based on race, religion, color, gender, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, and/or geographic origin)

  • Demonstrate financial need

  • Be enrolled as a full or part-time student at an accredited college or university in the United States

If you are interested in applying for a diversity scholarship, please contact us at yell_conference@nps.gov.

Alternative Student Housing

Alternative student housing may be available at a lower cost than conference accommodations at the Mammoth Hot Springs hotel. Please contact yell_conference@nps.gov for more information.
